Golfers Elbow

Golfer's elbow, baseball elbow, suitcase elbow, and forehand tennis elbow are all terms used to describe medial epicondylitis. It's characterised by pain on the inside (medial side) of the elbow from the elbow to the wrist. Damage to the tendons that bend the wrist toward the palm causes the pain. Tendons are tough tissue cords that connect muscles to bones.

Causes:

  • In tennis, you can serve with a lot of force or use a spin serve.
  • Shoulder and wrist muscles that are weak
  • Using a tennis racket that is too tightly strung, too short, or too heavy
  • Throwing a javelin is a sport that involves throwing a javelin.
  • lugging a bulky luggage
  • Using an axe to chop wood
  • Chainsaw operation
  • Other hand instruments are used often and on a regular basis.

Treatment may include::

  • Ice pack application (to decrease inflammation) (to reduce inflammation)
  • Strengthening exercises
  • Anti-inflammatory medication
  • Bracing
  • Injections of corticosteroids
  • Surgical procedures (rare)
